Aksine, bireyleri bir arada tutan belirli kurallar, de\u011ferler ve ortak bilin\u00e7 sayesinde varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 s\u00fcrd\u00fcren b\u00fct\u00fcnl\u00fckl\u00fc bir sistemdir. Frans\u0131z sosyolog \u00c9mile Durkheim, bu b\u00fct\u00fcnl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc a\u00e7\u0131klamak i\u00e7in \u201ctoplumsal dayan\u0131\u015fma\u201d kavram\u0131n\u0131 geli\u015ftirmi\u015ftir. Ona g\u00f6re toplumun nas\u0131l ayakta kald\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 anlaman\u0131n anahtar\u0131, bireyler aras\u0131ndaki ba\u011flar\u0131n niteli\u011fini incelemektir.<br>Durkheim toplumsal dayan\u0131\u015fmay\u0131 iki temel t\u00fcre ay\u0131r\u0131r: <strong><em>mekanik dayan\u0131\u015fma<\/em><\/strong> ve <strong><em>organik dayan\u0131\u015fma<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Mekanik<\/em><\/strong> <strong>dayan\u0131\u015fma<\/strong>, daha \u00e7ok geleneksel ve k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck toplumlarda g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr. Bu t\u00fcr toplumlarda bireyler birbirine \u00e7ok benzer. Ayn\u0131 inan\u00e7lara sahip olurlar, benzer i\u015fler yaparlar ve ortak bir ya\u015fam tarz\u0131 payla\u015f\u0131rlar. Dayan\u0131\u015fma, bu benzerlikten do\u011far. Sanayile\u015fme ve i\u015f b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc artt\u0131k\u00e7a bireyler birbirinden farkl\u0131la\u015f\u0131r. Herkes ayn\u0131 i\u015fi yapmaz; aksine herkes farkl\u0131 bir uzmanl\u0131k alan\u0131na y\u00f6nelir. Bu durumda dayan\u0131\u015fma, benzerlikten de\u011fil kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131kl\u0131 ba\u011f\u0131ml\u0131l\u0131ktan do\u011far. Dayan\u0131\u015fma zay\u0131flad\u0131\u011f\u0131nda anomi ad\u0131 verilen bir durum ortaya \u00e7\u0131kar. Anomi, kurallar\u0131n belirsizle\u015fmesi ve bireylerin toplumsal ba\u011flar\u0131n\u0131 kaybetmesi anlam\u0131na gelir.
